Jacqueline Jaramillo

I am currently the Head of the Environmental Department for the construction of the Vicuña Mackenna 20 building at the University of Chile. Before this role, I was responsible for the mitigation of environmental impacts in the construction of Santiago de Chile’s metro, one of the most modern undergrounds in Latin America. I have two degrees, one in Environmental Sciences from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and another in Environmental Engineering which I studied in Colombia and Chile. One of my professional goals is to be able to implement innovative strategies and environmental practices to make construction processes more sustainable. Ever since I started travelling and learning about different cultures and ecosystems, my passion for the environment and sustainability practices has always been there. I also enjoy outdoor activities like ecotourism and trekking.
