As Managing Director of HETCo, Pablo Riesco is responsible for the £1billion project to build Terminal T2A at Heathrow. Pablo has overall responsibility for all aspects of the project, including safety, and the project has an industry-leading safety record. The project is taking place at the heart of the world’s busiest international airport, between two runways, and Pablo has led its development since the outset. He is also credited with the strategic thinking behind the move to classify the T2A construction site as landside – a decision that was to benefit almost every aspect of the project. By convincing the airport operator that this could be achieved safely and securely, Pablo greatly reduced the complexity of the scheme, due to finish successfully later this year, on time and under budget. A decisive leader with 24 years’ engineering experience, Pablo combines expertise in complex buildings with a talent for bringing together skilled individuals in highly successful teams. He is skilled in leading negotiations with a wide range of partners and project stakeholders.
