Construction works continue improving the LBJ Express

29 of November of 2012

Cintra, Ferrovial Agroman and Webber are turning the 50-year old LBJ Freeway into the LBJ Express. The results of this project will be significant advances in the fields of traffic relief and mobility choices. The LBJ Express will double the road’s capacity while adding six new toll lanes.

The following videos show the expected outcome of some of the construction works undertaken for the LBJ Express. All these works have been developed while cultivating an open communication strategy with the affected communities. This approach has helped minimize disruptions.

First up is this 4D video of the stages of construction for the Preston Road bridge.

The second video is a rendering of the completed IH-35E and Loop 12 Interchange.

Next up is this rendering of the completed LBJ-635 and Dallas North Tollway Interchange.

Last but not least is this video of the completed LBJ-635 and IH-35E Interchange.

To conduct these major redevelopments of the LBJ Express, demolition works need to be fast and effective. Here is a time-lapse of the Montfort Drive bridge demolition.
