Today, June 23rd, is International Women in Engineering Day. Created by the Women’s Engineering Society, this day gives visibility to women in the sector and encourages girls to pursue a career in this industry. It’s a day to remember those women who have broken barriers and inspired others to do the same.
This year I was named finalist in the WICE Awards, one of the most important recognitions for European Women In Construction & Engineering. I had the opportunity of working with many of the nominees, and so I feel very proud to see how they all are open to looking for new stories behind our projects and share the experiences of my colleagues across our digital platforms. Since this is a key date for Ferrovial, we knew we wanted to do something bigger than normal. Our goal was to send a message to young girls that engineering is for them. And who better to deliver this idea than our own women engineers? In this video, they share their advice to young girls who may wish to follow in their footsteps. I hope you find it inspiring!
