I am currently Director of Teaching at the School of Civil Engineering in the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where one of my main responsibilities is to manage the syllabus the Civil Engineering Degree and the Master's Degree in Construction taught by the school. I’ve been a Civil Engineer since 1994 and also hold a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. I have 26 years of teaching experience in the School of Civil Engineering, teaching different courses, most of them in the specialty of structural design. I have held different positions within the school, the most important being the Director of Teaching between the years 2009 and 2015 and 2019 to date. One of my other areas of expertise is the pathology of reinforced concrete works. On the personal side, I’m a passionate of train modelling, with a collection of about 25 trains. One of my dreams is to build a large railway model for my grandchildren and friends to enjoy. I am also a fan of television series and love spending the weekends with my family. I also dream of going back to Europe and visit all those cities that I could not visit when I was in Spain between 1999 and 2002.
