Luis Amorim

Born in 1971, he is a Civil Engineering graduate from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal. He joined Ferrovial in 2000, where he started as a Project Manager of the iconic building Estoril Congress Centre. Promoted to Area Manager in 2003 he oversaw a number of complex projects in Portugal until 2006 when he moved to the UK to become Educo UK JV Chief Executive Officer. In 2011 Luis ascended to the Board of Educo UK and BFK Joint Ventures. BFK is a Joint Venture made of Bam Nuttall, Kier Construction and Ferrovial Agroman UK, a contractor for Crossrail (currently the biggest infrastructure project in Europe) with a portfolio of circa £1bn made of Contracts C300, C410 and C435 in central London. In his current role Luis is also actively developing Ferrovial Agroman UK’s business in the rail and tunnelling sectors, in projects like Thames Tideway Tunnel, London Underground Northern Line Extension and High Speed 2.
