The United Nations Conference on climate change, also known as COP24, was held from the 2nd to the 14th of December 2018 in Katowice, Poland. The objective of this edition involved designing a specific plan to meet the COP 21 Paris Accord which will be put into action in 2020 with the agenda set to 2030 in order to reach temperature limitations of “well below 2º” by the end of the century.
The United Nations has been mobilizing countries with the goal of fighting against climate change and promoting sustainability since 1992. To commemorate this effort, we reflect on the history of the COP and its great achievements in this infographic.
