What is the best way to commute to work

13 of March of 2020

Having a great job, living in a place where you’ve always wanted to live, leading a life you’ve always wanted to lead. It sounds amazing, almost too good to be true. Well, that’s because it kind of is. In this fast-paced world we live in, there are a lot of complications that we are bound to stumble upon along the way. One of the worst things that people in the modern world have to deal with every day is trying to get to their jobs. If you’re lucky enough to be living near your workplace, you better know how to cherish it. However, if you’re like most of us mere mortals, we feel you and are aware of how hard it can get out there. That’s why we’re here to answer one simple question – what is the best way to commute to work?

Some factors you should consider when finding the best way to commute to work

Going through the process of finding the best way to commute to work is not easy. There are some things that you can take into consideration though. Here are some of them:

  • Price point
Before deciding on the form of transportation of your choice, you need to consider what you’re willing to spend on it. You’re probably no stranger to the fact that you could hypothetically get a cab every single day and make your commute very accommodating. However, your wallet might suffer in this scenario. It’s best to sit down, have an honest one on one with yourself and determine how much you’re willing to set aside.
  • Commodity
Another big thing that’s fairly important to consider is how big of a factor it is for you to be comfortable. When discovering the best way to commute to work you need to be aware that this is going to be an everyday thing. So you might as well make it as pleasant as possible.
  • Eco-friendly?
One of the often forgotten factors is eco-friendliness. Nowadays we should really strive towards making this a priority. We need to help our planet out and this is one of the ways to start making a difference.

Choose the best way for you to commute to work

Having a good public transport system is incredibly important, so you need to really think this one through. We’ve come up with some options for you to consider.

Cycling

The first one out of all the possible best ways to commute to work we’ll be mentioning today is cycling. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to give advantage to the most eco-friendly solution. However, besides that, this way of getting to work has another perk that’s certainly not neglectable.

We’re talking about staying physically active. As we all know, sport, health and leisure are the keys to our well-being. However, sometimes we just cannot afford to make time for each separate aspect. This is why cycling is great, as it brings sport and health into one.

Mass transit

Although using gas-driven vehicles is not a perfect thing for the environment, mass transit is still a much better option than driving a car to work. For someone whose job is simply very far away or the weather circumstances are unfavorable, mass transit just might be the best way to commute to work.

What’s good about taking the bus, the train or the subway is that they are usually quite organized. This means you’ll be able to predict and calculate the time it will take you to get to work. This is applicable especially if we’re talking about trains and subways because there’s no traffic to block the roads.

In case you don’t have a direct line to your workplace

If you have to take more than one form of public transport in order to get to work, that’s fine. Choosing the best way to arrive at your workplace is not always easy. What you can do to stay a bit more positive about this is think of the walk in between the stations as a fun activity. This is another great way to be active even if you don’t have time for doing some cardio in order to stay fit and healthy.

In case you really cannot do anything else but drive to work

If you, for whatever reason, can’t find the best way to commute to work in one of these solutions, that’s okay. It’s not the end of the world. What you can do in this case is to be a bit more mindful of how you drive your car. Going the extra mile (no pun intended) and using your car only when absolutely necessary is a lot of help.

We’re well aware that not everyone can afford to drive an eco-friendly car, but if you can, that’s another great solution.

The future might be brighter than we think

Maybe some time along the way we’ll be able to choose a different form of getting to work. There are a lot of plans that are being made and put into practice as we speak. Some of these projects are already up and running. So, depending on where you live, who knows, the next train you take may drive itself.

Remember to have patience

Even though you’ve chosen the best way to commute to work, your battle is not really over. You’re bound to stumble upon some difficulties along the way, it’s only human. You can’t really control that. What you do have control over is whether it’ll affect you or not. Don’t let some traffic or a rude person on the train ruin your day. Instead, take a book with you, relax and make the best out of your commute.
